DJ Hall
DJ Hall
DJ was very efficient shooting from the field in the Panther’s game against Hebron a couple weeks ago. Hall shows great patience and footwork under the basket, scoring the basketball with ease over opponents. DJ also showed a midrange jumper and willingness to keep teammates involved, never hesitating to make the open pass.rnHe is also very fundamentally sound on the defensive end of the floor, knowing how to time his blocks correctly and coming down with several rebounds per contest. Look for DJ to be a major contributor in Plano East’s deep playoff run this year.
Jacob was a big time all around player in his teams win over Legacy Prep on the road. May proceeded to hit 7 three pointers throughout the game, making his first 3/3 in the first half. He is also a crafty playmaker, setting up his teammates for easy assists under the rim and on the perimeter.rnMay has a lot of potential left in the tank being only a 2025 guard for the Raiders and already functions on the court as a born leader and team captain. His court vision is what draws my eye to his game and how he sees the floor when facilitating on offense is just already at a whole other level.
Jon was a great playmaker this game, always knowing where his teammates were on the floor and dishing out assists left and right. Tran also showed ability to make several pull up shots over the defense, stretching his shooting out to the midrange and three point line. The aspect I really like the most about Tran’s game is his hustle play and lockdown defense. He was never frustrated the entire contest and always kept his head down and playing hard. He will make a big difference wherever he decides to play college basketball with his hustle and dedication.
Derrick Carroll
Derrick Carroll
Carroll went ballistic in his teams road win over Concordia Lutheran to close out district play and came away with 41 points on 10 three pointers! Derrick showed his versatility and shooting ability as he lit up the defense from all ends of the court.rnHis defense was impressive as well, notching several blocks in the paint and flying through the air to get rebounds on both offense and defense.rnCarroll should be on everyone’s radar after this impressive showing, especially if he keeps up this level of spectacular shooting.
