I like Lusk’s energy as a forward, creating extra possessions by either securing offensive rebounds or tapping them out for his teammates to recover. Also able to space the floor from the baseline as a 12-15 foot shot maker, Lusk has a smooth lefty jumper. Able to score in transition as well, Lusk beats other forwards down the court for easy layups.

I remembered watching Lusk last year at the Midwest Fall League and he did exactly what I saw a year ago just with a stronger frame and more confidence as a shooter. Lusk’s best skill is his rebounding ability as he plays with a high motor and is super active around the ball. The improved skill from last year shows Lusk has been in the gym during the offseason and continuing to improve. Olentangy Berlin has some talented prospects and could be one of the more improved teams in central Ohio this winter.

Lusk has been impressive week in and week out at the fall league with a motor that never stops on the glass. Consistently leading the game in rebounding that he’s playing in, Lusk gets a ton of extra possessions for his team. On Saturday morning I thought he had his most impressive offensive game of fall league. He made some confident moves with the ball in his hand and was patient with pivots and fakes. A hard left hand attacker, Lusk is able to turn the corner and finish over his right shoulder when he gets downhill.
