Chavez really caught my eye with the way he played on defense where he was locked in from the jump. His energy was nonstop, and you see he took pride in clamping down his guy. In man coverage, he was a problem and stuck to his opponent like glue and didn’t give an inch. He forced pass after pass and opponents couldn’t get a clean look so they kept swinging the ball around looking for a shot. Chavez had excellent awareness on pick plays reading them fast and switching seamlessly to be right back in the opponents face. Chavez brought that hustle and discipline every possession, and it made a real impact. He wasn’t just playing hard—he was playing smart too, and that combo made him a major defensive asset all game
