About Jack

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Athletic. I'm a 3-sport, varsity athlete in basketball, football (starting QB) and baseball (starting pitcher) at Warren Township HS, Gurnee, IL (enrollment over 3,800). I'm a "do whatever it takes" energy/glue guy. Most of my career has been at the #2 but at 6'4" I'm now playing a lot of the #3/#4. I'm a career 38% 3pt shooter, and will defend/rebound, get on the floor, (whatever it takes!)

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

extremely competitive & pride myself on being a great teammate. I pick up concepts and strategy quickly. As the son of a coach I consider myself to be a high IQ player and leader (I'm also the starting QB for our football team). Mentally tough and thrive for the biggest moments. I'm fortunate to have trained with proven coaches who have placed a high premium on skill development & X's and O's.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

• National Honor Society Inductee. (4.30 cumulative GPA going into Senior year) • 8x Confernce All-Academic Student Athlete Award (3 yrs & 8 student/athlete seasons) • 8x Conference Scholastic Achievement Award Winner (3 yrs & 8 student/athlete seasons) • Enrolled in Warren Township Project Lead-the-Way: 4-year Engineering Track Program • Member of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA)

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

My work ethic. As a 3-sport HS varsity athlete with a high GPA, I have proven I can put the work in and lead. I lead our football lift as our starting QB which is 5:30am 4-days/week all year. In addition, I also play year round AAU basketball where I have won an AAU National Championship with IL Central Elite (ICE) and I also play travel baseball (Prime Athletics, Grayslake IL).

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I face the daily challenge of an extremely demanding student/athlete schedule and I take great pride in being the ONLY 3-sport baseball, football and basketball player at my high school out of over 3,800 students. I take good care of my mind and body to be able to do so. It is not uncommon for my day to include participation in all 3-sports in the same day (football, basketball and baseball)

What type of college are you looking for?

I would love to participate as a student-athlete at the collegiate level and see myself excelling at a mid-major or Ivy league type school/program. A school that has a high academic standard and reputation is very important to me.
