About Ian

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I love to attack the basket with my left hand and create opportunities for my team. I love playing defense and forcing turnovers.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

A big part of my mentality is that if someone else can do it, so can I.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

In school next year I am joining literacy lab. It is a program that takes my lunch period where me and other students tutor other students in need of ELA help.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed leadership and teamwork when playing basketball. I have been playing all my life, and I have played sports like track and soccer. Over the years I have learned that every team needs at least 1 person to stand up and lead, and I have learned many leadership qualities.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

A challenge I have faced in past years is confidence on the court to take shots and play like myself. I began to overcome this when I realized the only person who can change this is myself, and the only way I improve is by being aggressive.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m unsure of this right now, I’m just looking for a strong education and a place to build relationships with coaches, teachers, and students.
