Like a younger Horace Grant, Rushing rocked his signature sports goggles and left everything he had on the floor. He repeatedly boxed out taller and stronger players and was pesky with his hands. Rushing also showcased high basketball IQ – there were several plays when he could have taken a low-probability shot, but instead made the extra pass for an easy score. Rushing made a heads up play at the end of the first half against FVV Elite, recognizing that time was winding down and making a stellar length-of-the-court pass to give his team a chance to score. The only thing more impressive than Rushing’s work on the boards was his consistent execution of the little things that highlight a strong basketball foundation.
