Kalenzi is a player who has the numbers and produces throughout the year, but got out to the showcased and looked as if he wanted to get in there and prove a point that he could belong and that he’s better than what others believe. I feel like he did a great job of showing the type of offensive player that he is. He’s a score-first guard who is going right at you. He was shooting, getting to the rim and finishing on blow by baskets, he created in iso and used the pick. He’s a confident player whose assertive and we saw that no matter who was in front of him. He had a couple of and-1 baskets, he shot the 3-ball well and when he finds the balance of when to score and when to be a true PG that gets teammates involved and attack when needed he’s going to be a even better player as he’ll be very dangerous in the open court. 

Kalenzi has been having some big high school seasons where he’s putting up numbers that not many other guards in the state are putting up, but still finds himself under the radar, and it’s because we want to see him do that against some other big-name guards. This is a spot where he could elevate his stock with some big plays and show that his game translates. We saw his team have a playoff push behind his play. Kalenzi was a microwave scorer who got hot at times. He was electric with the ball in his hands and was decisive, and that’s what this showcase could help bring out to him alongside other capable players. 

Kalenzi first grabbed our attention during Peak To Peak’s playoff run last season, and after seeing the flashes he showed down the stretch, he is firmly on the radar heading into the new year. While his season average of 7 points per game may not jump off the page, his late season surge certainly does. He scored in double figures in four of his final five games, including a pair of postseason contests where he stepped up in big moments against quality competition. Kalenzi is a confident shooter who never hesitates to take open looks and has the mentality every scorer needs. He plays with good pace, attacks gaps effectively and has the ability to finish inside when defenses overplay the perimeter. As his role continues to grow expect his production to follow

Kalenzi continues to trend upward with a strong showing at the tournament, putting his full offensive package on display. He was consistently able to break down defenders off the dribble, using tight handles and change of pace to get into the lane. Once there he finished confidently or made the right read, showing growth as a playmaker. Running the point he kept the offense organized and played with poise beyond his years. His ability to score at multiple levels kept defenses guessing, and he embraced contact without hesitation. Kalenzi’s control, confidence, and versatility stood out, making him one of the more impactful guards throughout the event

Kalenzi caught fire late in the season, emerging as a player who consistently delivered in big moments. His ability to stretch the floor with his three point shooting made him a dangerous weapon, showing deep range and confidence from beyond the arc. What stood out even more was how well he got to his spots, creating clean looks and staying under control within the offense. As the season progressed, he became more assertive and reliable, knocking down timely shots when it mattered most. Kalenzi’s late surge played a key role in his team’s success and put his name firmly on the map

Peak to Peak’s season as a Cinderella story continues as they were able to knock off another top team, and their guard play is the biggest reason for that. They have a dangerous backcourt duo, and Kalenzi was the under-the-radar weapon who got it done against Aspen. Kalenzi’s speed was the difference in the game. He was getting downhill as an attacker, he could not be denied getting to the rim, and he also knocked down a 3-pointer to open things up for him. Kelenzi was attacking gaps and getting out on the break, and they will need more of that from him to keep the season alive. He’s a player who has caught our eye as of late, and his play continues to get better in each game. 

Kalenzi is truly an under-the-radar talent who is a surprise to opposing teams each night. He’s a volume shooter who you have to run off the 3-point line; he gets out in transition and also takes what the defense gives him. He’s putting up 7.2 points a game on a team that needs the offensive help, and he also is the catalyst for the offense at times with his court vision. He battles and is a player who should turn a bit more heads with his play. He makes the rankings for the first time. 

Kalenzi brings a high motor alongside soft touch on shots inside the arc. Capable of contributing floaters or off-balance shot attempts from 8-14 feet out, the guard has worked to be a scoring threat from difficult attempts. Part of what allows the guard to generate such a variety of scoring looks at recent local events is the handle, adept at handling aggressive defenses. Defensively, the guard does what he can in the passing lanes, bringing active hands and quick instincts to create turnovers.
