-Saw a bit more versatility and perimeter ability in Bullie’s game in this one as he flashed signs of positive skill development. He knocked down a face-up three in transition, threw down an alley-oop finish in transition with 2 hands, and threw several crisp overhead crosscourt passes to the shooters across the floor. His ability to guard multiple spots stood out as his footwork has improved over the course of the season.

-The physical forward anchored Seneca Valley through a run to the state quarterfinals with his physical play at both ends of the floor. A dual sport athlete (baseball), our scouts loved the heart and physicality that he played with for his team as a sturdy forward prospect that finished his opportunities around the rim and protected the paint at the opposite end of the floor. Bullie improved both his midrange jumper to be a threat in the high post as well as his free throw shooting to maximize his impact at the offensive end of the floor and make defenses pay for fouling him in the paint.

Ian was a consistent force over the course of his two outings at the Gov Challenge. Impressed with the awareness he possesses on both sides of the ball. Always seems to be in the perfect position to make a quick layup or come down with the rebound inside. Ian was all over the paint, securing a 14-point double-double in the Bracket Championship match. Handled himself well when the defense closed in or when facing additional pressure inside. Good backside/help defender – ended a lot of possessions by coming over and making a play on the ball, whether that be at the basket or before the shot goes up. Great weekend for the big man as he puts his name on the map as an impact unsigned senior prospect.

I mentioned Bullie in my day one notebook, but couldn’t leave him off this list as he’s one of the few bigs in the Maryland public school scene who I think could help a DIII program shortly after arriving on campus. Bullie brings size, length, and a knack for the ball on the glass. He has soft touch around the cup and good form on his free-throw that lends the thought of eventually expanding his range out to 15-to-17 feet. Still plenty of areas to tap into with Bullie, but as DIII programs scan the area desperate for size, Bullie would be a good place to start.

Bullie is an intriguing new name for me, and I’m eager to see more of his game and development. As a 6’8 prospect on the court, he brings tremendous length and impact to the floor. Offensively, he moves and runs the floor extremely well, being comfortable operating from a variety of areas but also using his long wingspan to his advantage on the glass and touch around the basket. Defensively, he walls up well, makes himself long, and is disruptive overall. Bullie showed that he could be an effective scoring option with potential in the games. I watched this fall. Bullie averaged 7 points and 7 rebounds a game in the Capitol Hoops Summer.

-The physical two sport athlete (baseball) stood out to our scouts at The Challenge as an uncut gem from Montgomery County. Bullie showed some polish scoring around the basket, rebounds the ball at a high level, and uses his athleticism to maneuver around or score over his opponent. Want to see what the outside jumper and passing ability from the wings look like, but he has the skill base to be very successful again with Seneca Valley this season.

-First time seeing Bullie but the dual sport (baseball) athlete was impressive for Seneca Valley as a dynamic forward prospect that can play inside and out. Bullie moves well for his size and has tremendous balance around the rim, shown by one play where he almost fell over but regained his balance and spun on one leg to nail the floater off the window.
He has a nice package of post moves around the rim, rebounds the ball at a high level, and runs the floor hard to protect the paint or serve as a roll/lob target at the opposite end. Want to see him communicate more on the back line of his defense to give his team a more cohesive and connected defensive unit.
