As a crafty and unselfish point guard, Mabone excels at orchestrating the offense and dictating the game’s pace. He adeptly breaks down defenses, navigates off the dribble, and reads the floor well enough to avoid extra defenders and find the best available shot. While he prioritizes getting his teammates involved, Mabone also increases his scoring output when needed, especially in late-game situations. Additionally, he provides energetic defense and rebounds well for his size.

Watching Mabone at the Challenge in November he made it clear that he is going to be one of the go-to options for Seneca Valley this year, and he impressed me with what he was able to show. A smaller yet quick and crafty guard, he was able to dictate where he wanted to go, attacked downhill consistently, scored from multiple levels from the floor, and played with confidence. Loved his ability to get by defenders and get paint touches consistently but mixed it up well from the perimeter also.

It was no surprise to see Mabone perform at a high level this fall at the Challenge event in York, Pennsylvania. He’s a quick, crafty, polished guard with the ability to fill it up as a scorer from all levels. Mabone is a quality creator with the handle and vision to consistently generate clean looks for himself and others. Scrappy defender and quality rebounder for his size. High-motor pest on defense. Strong and very physical. Gets paint touches at a high volume. Tough kid, very coachable.
