About Henry

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a fast-paced, aggressive player who loves to shoot, drive hard to the basket, and play tough defense. I bring energy on both ends of the court and always stay locked in.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m a competitor through and through. I believe in giving 110% until the final whistle. I live by the mindset that proper preparation prevents poor performance. I’m a hard worker, a team-first player, and someone who shows up ready to lead and grow every day.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I’m a member of Kappa Alpha Psi’s National Kappa League, a leadership development program that helps young men grow and build skills to lead in every area of life. It’s given me the chance to serve my community, connect with mentors, and challenge myself to become a better student, athlete, and leader.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve developed strong leadership skills from both basketball and being part of programs like the Kappa League. I’ve learned how to communicate, motivate others, and stay focused even when things get tough. I’m also big on teamwork—I believe success comes when everyone buys in and plays for each other.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I transferred mid-year due to bullying and missed tryouts, but was granted full IHSAA eligibility. I became team manager, helped in practice, and we made it to semi-state. I’m creating a short documentary to share my story and how I stayed connected to the game.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a D1, D2, D3, NAIA, or JUCO program where I can grow as a player and a person. I want to be part of a team that will push me, develop my skills, and help me reach my full potential on and off the court.

The South Bend Riley High School guard will have a chance to earn some minutes as a junior.
