Healings is the sneakiest athlete in New York City and has quickly turned himself into an intriguing prospect. He’s quick, has crazy bounce, competes on every possession and can rack up the points. His progression has been excellent, he can take over games, when he’s effective Scanlan is very tough to beat. Love his upside as a player and think he can reach an even higher level.

Emerging this year as a key complementary scorer for Scanlan, Healings led a balanced Crusader attack that saw five players in double-figures for the upset win. Healings set the tone in the early going on his way to 20 points, coming out aggressive looking to attack the rim as Scanlan established a double-figure lead that they would hold for much of the game. He shows a blend of skill, quickness, and vertical pop as a three-level scorer along with playing committed on-ball defense across the backcourt. His 20 points and four steals were an indicator of the type of two-way impact he can make that should be able to translate smoothly to the scholarship level.

A newer name on the radar, Healings continued his emergence this winter as a key secondary scorer for the Crusaders. Spending time both on and off the ball, Healings finished with 12 points, including 10 in a standout first half. He shows polished mechanics while getting strong base into his catch-and-shoot and pullup stroke while also being efficient getting north/south off the bounce and displaying easy lift around the rim as a finisher. On the other end, Healings shows to be an aggressive on-ball defender across both backcourt spots. We’d like to see more from him as a playmaker for others but the blend of scoring, athleticism, and defensive tenacity make for a promising foundation while projecting toward the scholarship-level.
