Expert Analysis
Michael Roth | Prep Hoops Scout
Ronnebaum is a tough guard who plays off two feet and can knock down open shots. One of the more productive guards in central Ohio’s 2023 class, Ronnebaum just gets stuff done on the court. Capable of playing on the ball or as a spot-up guy in the corner, Ronnebaum’s versatility impressed me when I watched him. I think Olentangy is capable of an upset in the playoffs and they’ll need Ronnebaum to be as his best for that to happen.

A steady high school guard, Ronnebaum made shots from the outside and was efficient from the floor for Olentangy as they battled for 32 minutes with a talented Westerville Central squad. Ronnebaum is best used off the ball but showed some ability to create for himself when attacking a closeout or driving and dishing to a teammate. Ronnebaum was also a standout at the Bleacher Republic Fall League and continued his impressive play on Monday.

Ronnebaum is a bit of a sleeper prospect who had some moments with Mid Ohio Pumas Ballinger when I watched him, but Saturday was the best I’ve seen him play. Ronnebaum was making plays off the bounce and set up his teammates in good positions. It seemed like he came in with a pass first mentality and then when the team needed him to score, he also did that efficiently. Look for Ronnebaum to make a push at a first team all OCC season as a senior.
