Maholm was getting busy with two efficient scoring games. Maholm was getting to his spots and scoring with ease from the mid-range and even a couple from behind the 3-point line. Despite being a smaller guard with not elite quickness, Maholm got to the rim and used creative finishes below the rim to avoid shot blockers. Defensively, I was impressed with his effort levels as he had multiple pick-pockets of opposing ball handlers. Maholm is getting some love from Division III programs right now and seems like a great guy to add to a program in a conference like the OAC.
A constant hustle player, Mbouge was playing harder than just about everybody else on the floor on Saturday. Mbouge thinks every rebound is his and with his length and motor, he grabs a ton of rebounds on both ends. Mbouge is a solid athlete as well and used his physical tools to get open shots at the rim. Mbouge will be a solid complimentary piece for a Westerville North squad looking to win a district title in 2022-23.

If we’re talking about who would win a 3-point contest among all 2023 prospects in the state of Ohio, Wilson would be in my top 5 because this kid has a burner. Wilson has decent size for a wing guard and has improved by using pump fakes and using his size to occasionally drive to the basket. But don’t get confused, Wilson wants to shoot from long range and why not because he shoots a crazy high percentage from downtown. If Wilson can continue to expand his shot profile, there’s no reason why he can’t be a productive college player with his size, length and deadly shooting ability.
Minerd wins the title of clutchest player of the morning as he took over in crunch time to carry his team to a victory. In the final couple minutes Minerd scored 10 points off driving to the bucket, finding himself open and drawing fouls. After a tight game throughout, it was Minerd who came up big to secure the win for his team.

Ronnebaum is a bit of a sleeper prospect who had some moments with Mid Ohio Pumas Ballinger when I watched him, but Saturday was the best I’ve seen him play. Ronnebaum was making plays off the bounce and set up his teammates in good positions. It seemed like he came in with a pass first mentality and then when the team needed him to score, he also did that efficiently. Look for Ronnebaum to make a push at a first team all OCC season as a senior.
