Edwards was a key contributor off the bench as a freshman for the Bluejays, averaging 3.5 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game. He’s a confident guard who showed that he can create looks off the dribble for himself and his teammates, and he stepped up in some big moments in postseason play. He’s a quick defender with great hands.
The freshman guard didn’t put up huge numbers, finishing with 4 points and 2 rebounds, but at times he looked like a senior guard with how poised he was against constant on-ball pressure. The lefty showed a nice floater game, finishing against some bigger defenders, and his ability to handle the ball was on full display in some big moments.

had what was probably the most impressive ball-handling skills of anyone at the facility. Likened to Jason “White Chocolate” Williams when listing him on my All-Showcase team, Edwards keeps his front half low, uses his long arms to deter defenders, broke a few ankles, and is able to manipulate his body and the ball to finish when he gets to the cup.

was one of the more advanced ball-handlers at the event. Able to put the ball on the floor and start the fast break but also finish at the rim with both hands, Edwards is the type of guard that could step on the floor at the varsity level, stay composed and find a way to contribute as a freshman.
Low to the ground with his handle, Edwards isn’t susceptible to defenders who attempt to pick-pocket him, has his eyes up at all times and initiates the fast-break well. Still working on his jump shot, Edwards knows his strengths and plays to them. He can create for others, which forces defenders to play off him, and when given a lane, he can get to the basket and finish with either hand. A pesky defender too, Edwards has long arms that make him a tough matchup for offensive players. Matching up with the Bondurant-Farrar guard makes for a long day on both ends of the court.
