A long, skilled wing who can score inside and out, Werner is willing to take smaller defenders onto the block and use his size advantage to score, but he’s also capable of creating off the dribble and getting to the rim against slower-footed defenders. He knocked down 32% of his 3-point attempts last season, a number that can certainly improve, but shows that he’s a capable shooting threat whose shot needs to be respected. He put up 12.0 points and 2.9 rebounds a game as a junior for the Bluejays.
