“Gavin made tremendous strides over the course of the summer. His shooting continued to improve, and by the end of the season he was knocking down shots with a great deal of confidence. The biggest improvement, though, was his movement without the basketball. He became much more intentional about cutting, relocating, and creating opportunities for both himself and his teammates. I also thought he took a significant step defensively by becoming more engaged and consistent on that end of the floor. Gavin has a very bright future and I believe he’s going to become a big-time player.“

This kid was a shot maker and was alot tougher then he would first appear to be. Not sure how he got some of his shots off but he did and made quite a few very tough and contested looks. Had deep range both days of camp and solid handles to go with his nice looking shot. Had a nice touch on his floater from 12ft and in.

Gavin may be a little overlooked on a talented TEAM Warwick 14U-Ulvestad team. But he played the best game I’ve seen from him in the championship game. He played a clean and mistake-free game, and I recall him making at least three 3-pointers in the game. He’s a valuable piece to the team because he can stretch the floor and open things up for others. I like his decision-making as a passer as well. He keeps the ball moving in the correct direction and values the ball.

Gavin looks very young and has some longer-than-typical limbs. It seems like he’s adjusting to growing and developing physically. A huge growth spurt into a lengthy 2-guard to go with his 3-point ability would be major. Gavin’s quick release from three off the move was another thing I noticed. He could be one that sees his stock continuously go in the right direction.
