3/20/26: Gavin is a good player, but Whitehaven doesn’t quite know how to use him. The guards take all of the shots and Gavin gets very, very few post touches. So, is he just a grunt? Clearly, he wants to be a faceup forward. The role is a bit ill-defined.

Glass house next 🎉 – Gavin Fitzpatrick Gavin Fitzpatrick 6'7" | PF/SF Whitehaven | 2026 State TN after sub-state win to @PrepHoopsTN

His Tigers rotate the tallest lineup in the state, save maybe Bartlett, making Fitzpatrick an important but not critical piece. His defensive positioning and low-ego play earn him minutes. Occasionally he will score, but generally the team gets 6-8 ppg from him. He will play in college next fall. Where? TBD.

3/9/26: Gavin still looks like something between a power forward and a small forward. Gavin took the biggest charge of his life as time expired in regulation. He stepped in front of a charging Armani Smith Armani Smith 6'2" | SG Kirkwood | 2027 State TN and absorbed the entire charge. If not for that foul call, Kirkwood likely wins it on an uncontested Bryce Garnett Bryce Garnett 5'11" | PG Kirkwood | 2027 State TN layup at the horn.
