When we were compiling our 2024 preview for this year’s Prep Hoops Top 250 Expo, we made sure to mention this veteran standout from 6A River Ridge. Fettinger is fresh off what one would assume would be his final spring and summer on the club circuit where he wore the uniform of OTP National. It cannot be said enough that height cannot be coached and Fettinger presents plenty of it at 6-foot-7. He can be relied on to play interior defense and has no problems drawing contact to get himself to the free throw line. Rebounding and blocking shots are two of his other strong points.

Want height? Fettinger provides plenty of it and then some at a towering 6-foot-7. During the spring and summer months, he runs with OTP Basketball on the travel circuit. Also during this past spring and summer, Fettinger landed a scholarship offer from Reinhardt University. He led his 6A River Ridge Knights to a 21-8 campaign last season. Fettinger plays with a heads-up attitude including on defense and that can leave opposing offenses turnover-prone. His versatility comes in with his ability to make plays close to the rim or set up shop outside the perimeter to drain a long range shot.

Garrett Fettinger Garrett Fettinger 6'7" | SF River Ridge | 2024 State GA had an impressive outing on Sunday, showing off a variety of abilities to go along with his athletic, 6’7 frame that will pass the eye test. I found Fettinger most effective as a stretch 4 because of his ability to knock down open jumpers or put the ball on the floor and penetrate. On the defensive end, he contested a ton of shots at the rim and guarded multiple positions well. Fettinger will be back with OTP this spring alongside some newly added talent and could be a potential stock riser.
