The best game (4th) yet I have seen from Foster. He fills the stat sheet. He drew multiple fouls tonight 8/10 from the line. He made some nice interior passing. Offensively scored 14 but had a smart jump stop paint touch off two feet field goal. He also had a nice lefty finish after squaring shoulders to baseline from the right block switching hands mid air. I liked how Needham used him heavily in press break. Two more things that stood out from everyone else was him guarding Walpole’s best at times tonight and his rim run after blocking a shot directly under his hoop drawing a foul to go along. He could play D3 basketball in college if he chooses.

Wilinski, a senior wing out of Needham High School, profiles as a versatile offensive prospect that uses his size, basketball IQ, and high level of skill to impact a game in a variety of ways. He can really shoot the basketball from behind the arc, showing a knowledge of how to use screens to get open off of the ball and the ability to get into his jumper off the bounce. He’s a willing ball-mover, finds his baskets in the flow off the offense, and can even act as a secondary playmaker when needed.

Wilinski projects to be a star for a talented Needham High School team this year. The 6-foot-4 forward continues to develop physically and is looking stronger and stronger as time goes on, but he also has some solid perimeter skills and can shoot it from three. I imagine he’ll get lots of offensive rebounds and garbage cleanup opportunities, but he’ll also score points in transition and will make a variety of moves to the hoop in the half court. Wilinski is physically bigger and stronger than most other MIAA bigs, but he’s also faster and quicker than most of them, meaning he’s a total matchup nightmare. Big season ahead.

I am impressed with his improvement from last year with his skill development. Has a nice off hand dribble for a bigger player. Has the lateral quickness to stay in front of the ball or create bad angles for opposing players driving. He creates problems with his wing span for any opposing player. Had an important offensive rebound and put back for two points in the game. A facilitator allowing teammates to contribute to the teams success.

had some good moments playing off the ball. He was effective in hitting shots from downtown, with a solid and compact shooting form. He ran in transition by using his speed and finished well in the interior for easy baskets. Additionally, he made some steals on the defensive end, and his effort on that end was apparent as he moved well laterally and used quick hands to get the results he wanted.

is a high-processing guard with a well-rounded and balanced skillset. His passing is the skill that stands out, as his quick decision-making to cutters is phenomenal, and are high-level reads. Wilinski’s inside game is strong, bodying defenders at the rim and scoring with floaters in the mid-range area. He can also stretch the floor from three with a compact jump shot and moves without the ball effectively for backdoor cuts. Wilinski’s defense in the interior for a guard is very advanced as well, timing his contests at the correct time and always keeping his body in front of himself at all times. His throwback-style approach to basketball is also a very functional one, as he can help any team or program in any area of the game.
