McCauley is an active bodied forward who makes his presence felt by having a nose to make hustle plays for the good of his team. He is in good spots on the floor to shag rebounds. He has no issue making plays on defense and has the ability to be a chase down artist. His big frame allows him to eat up space on the interior. He scored many shots inside the two point line and is a magnet for cashing in on chances from there. His ability to move without the ball is one of his better tendencies.
