We’ve been watching this Chatflied team a ton right now as they’re in the Grandview Fall league and we’ve been impressed with this guard. We want the ball in his hands more as he frees up their scorers and he has a mean left to right cross over that frees him up. He seems to take care of the ball, he gets downhill and attacks the defense and he also is looking to make plays for others rather than just scoring. One of the things Ive specifically looked for with him is entry passes. He knows how to get it to the inside guy and feeds the middle. He rotates the ball, has hit a shot or two although that is an area we want to see him confidentially attack more but he certainly can be a weapon for Chatfield this year. He’s making a jump in the rankings with a hope to see more from him.

Hostetler is one of the newer names on our radar, and I’m excited to see what he does with an expanded role. Colorado Live gave us plenty to like. He kept the ball moving, handled and ran the offense, attacked the rim as a slasher, moved well without the basketball, and looked comfortable handling pressure when the ball found him. More than anything, he played as another ball handler. Chatfield will need steady guard play this season, and I think Finn has a real chance to provide it. He’s only ranked where he is because we haven’t seen too much of him, but that could change quickly if he builds on what we saw from him this summer. Don’t be surprised if he’s part of the reason Chatfield exceeds expectations.
