With more minutes and consistent reps, McCord has the chance to grow into a key contributor, using his energy, scoring ability and court awareness to make a real impact this year

Brayden showed great feel for the game. He was always moving, always making the right read. Brayden plays with a high motor and IQ, and he also ran the floor, kept possessions alive, and made plays for others. You notice his activity right away. He’s the type of forward who impacts winning in a dozen little ways. Smart, unselfish, and fits seamlessly anywhere. I want to see more from him. 

McCord made his presence felt this summer when we saw him with relentless energy and effort on both ends, which led to extra scoring opportunities. He’s a confident shooter with range who spaces the floor and plays within the flow of the offense. What separates him is his motor with running the floor, competing defensively with making guys work, and doing the little things that lead to easy baskets. He’s on the cusp right now but with continued growth and the willingness to continue to do what other players want, I think he’s a player that could rise.
