Madison Memorial is one of those teams who have a number of talented options to turn to, and anyone can have a big game on any given night. In the sectional finals it was Ezra who led the way with 22 points, and he’ll look to keep that momentum going at state. The honorable mention all-conference selection will be playing D1 baseball at the next level, but is an impressive hooper as well. At 6’5 he has the explosiveness to play above the rim, the strength to finish through contact, and the ability to defend a number of spots on the floor. Him and his twin brother Caleb will look to help take down De Pere in the semi-finals.

The Bradley University baseball recruit played a big role for Madison Memorial in its win over Sun Prairie West on Wednesday evening. A versatile 6-foot-5 wing player, Liggon scored 11 points and swished four-of-four foul shots in the closing minutes of the game for the Spartans. Liggon has good size, good athleticism and a good skill set as he scored at the rim, from outside the arc and with a nice mid-range jump shot.

Ezra and his twin brother, Caleb, make positive things happen when they are on the floor. Ezra is very good vertically, handles it well and can hit from outside the arc and off the bounce. He generally plays the wing, but his athleticism allows him to guard taller players close to the basket. Ezra took mid-range jumper with confidence, made his foul shots and was a solid presence on defense throughout the game. He finished with 18 points.
