Evan Moherek Evan Moherek 6'0" | PG St. Catherine’s | 2023 WI just didn’t seem to be missing in the first half for St. Cat’s on Wednesday. Whether it was from mid-range or three, the senior guard was finding ways to get to his spots and knock down jumpers. Gets good lift on his shot, and does a nice job of recognizing a bad closeout allowing him to blow by the man with one or two dribbles into a mid-range shot. Was a part of the St. Cats defense forcing a good amount of turnovers, and with the ball in his hands he was making smart decisions in the open floor. Finished with 21 points and has been putting together a nice senior season for one of the top D3 teams in the state.

Evan’s role has consistently grown since his sophomore season, and he’s now a featured player for St. Cats. Even missing a key player on Friday night, Evan helped lead St. Cats to a 30 point trouncing of Martin Luther. The senior guard was able to get to his spots off limited dribbles in the mid-range, while also being a threat from beyond the arc. Evan is a confident shooter who defenses have to account for at all times. Knocked down 4-8 shots from deep as he went for a game high 21 points.

Evan has quietly waited his turn at St. Cats, playing behind some talented guards over his years in the program. Now as a senior he’ll play a key role for the always competitive Angels. He’s not the biggest or most athletic guard on the floor, but he knows how to get to his spots and is a high level shooter when he has the space. Evan doesn’t let the ball stick in his hands, and is great at passing and cutting until he gets into open spaces for a shot. Defensively he has that typical Angel toughness in that he’s not going to back down from anyone and he enjoys pressuring the ball to force turnovers for his team.
