About Evan

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Excelling at shooting from all areas of the court (perimeter and mid-range), and being a threat to drive to the basket to finish plays. I would also emphasize strong defensive skills to guard the opposing team's perimeter players, creating steals and limiting their scoring opportunities. Blocking shots and helping the helpers on defense.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality is ferocious, I believe in a strong mindset. Positive and inspiring to others.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Currently I’m only focusing on getting better in the gym and keeping my grades high with a 4.0 gpa. My time management is important.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Playing basketball has helped me grow as a leader both on and off the court. I’ve learned how to motivate my teammates, keep energy high during tough games, and set an example by working hard in practice. On the court, clear communication is essential. Calling out screens, plays, or defensive switches helped me become more vocal and confident.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

The challenge of getting better everyday is the most significant challenge I face everyday. Me vs me.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that has a strong basketball program and great academics. I want to be part of a team that values hard work, discipline, and teamwork — both on and off the court. Looking for a college that’s ready for the grind, somewhere I can hoop, grow, and make an impact from day one.

Lemons was one of the breakout players at the event.  The lengthy and athletic 6’2” guard plays taller than his height with his size and strength.  Mixed in drives off shot fakes on a regular basis, but can also shoot it at a super high level from the perimeter.  He poured in mid-range jumpers and a handful of threes in the 5 on 5 game that we saw.  Can really shoot the basketball!
