Wright was impressive summer for both The Carmel School and Virginia Elite on the UA Rise Circuit. The rising sophomore is a skilled, versatile wing with good positional size and a good feel for the game. He is a capable perimeter shot maker who can space the floor and understands how to use screens to create scoring opportunities. Wright is emerging prospect to watch in Virginia’s 2029 recruiting class.

Elijah put together a very solid performance over the weekend, leading Virginia Elite in scoring with an average of 15.3 points per game. A strong perimeter shooter, he consistently knocked down shots from three-point range and provided reliable scoring for his team. He also made an impact on the defensive end, playing with aggressiveness and intensity. An unselfish player, Elijah looks to involve his teammates and plays the game the right way. With his poise, pace, and leadership at a young age, Elijah stands out as a steady presence on the floor and a key contributor to his team’s success.

Given his production in the 3 on 3 competition his ability to play the game the right way was obvious. The 6-2 combo guard game translated well in the 5 on 5 games. Using his ability to use his length to impact the game on both ends of the floor. Had no problem asserting himself offensively once he got the ball in scoring positions and also being a ball distributor. Wright showed the ability to knock down jumpers and touch the paint at a high volume with dribble penetration. Long arm defender with the anticipation to force turnovers and block shots. Next in his development process is working on his ability to get stronger and play through contact which will make him a more complete offensive player. Plays extremely well off two feet.
