was one of this season’s biggest stock risers as he moved into the Top 100 at No. 80 in the final rankings update for the 2023 class. He led Lincoln Charter School to a 13-0 conference record while averaging 17.1 ppg, 6.0 apg and 3.2 spg as quite the two-way presence for his squad. He’s a 6-foot-2 guard that plays with a ton of energy on the floor and can make plays for others in space.

Burnett is another unsigned senior guard that has his team playing well, as they’ve won 18-straight games heading into Saturday’s meeting against Reidsville. He led the way with 28 points, eight rebounds, four assists and four steals in their victory over East Gaston. He’s putting up 17.3 ppg along with a team-high 6.1 apg to lead the Eagles backcourt as they’ve played spoiler for a few teams in this year’s state playoffs.

Burnett has been on my radar since the beginning of the year, and he continues to show his quality of performance against top opponents. Last weeks performance against Gaston Christian was one example. He was efficient from the field, going 12/16 and also knocking down a three pointer. He can score inside, but his progression to being willing to shoot jumpers is a positive sign. He’s also a willing passer that involves his teammates even when he’s getting hot. He makes the winning play at every moment, even if that means he isn’t scoring. I can’t wait to see him have more big performances on the big stage.
