#228 – A true sharp-shooting marksman whom I witnessed knock down 5-3pointers in a summer session game @ University of Oregon Team Summer Camp. Moves without the basketball to locate scoring opportunities; didn’t have his best shooting performance in the event; however, he showed flashes of good denial defense. Getting physically stronger will really help showcase his other talents as a ball handler and facilitator. Conditioning and pushing the basketball up the floor will help his assists go up as a playmaker!
Willamette is definitely and up-and-coming team to watch out for and Baravilala is one of the players worth keeping an eye on. The rising junior can really shoot the ball and at UO Team Camp he was able to get hot from three on a number of occasions. He’s dangerous off the catch-and-shoot with his smooth stroke but can also put it on the floor a little, and isn’t afraid of going inside against bigger players.
