Expert Analysis
Duvalier Johnson | Prep Hoops Scout
Bishop is another player who has cooked up another solid season. This year it has been a very balanced approach, but now it is about dominating as an inside presence. He’s in his best stretch of the season as a scorer as well as a rebounder. He’s averaging 11.5 points and 7.5 rebounds, has gotten a few double-doubles, and is playing the passing lanes. He’s establishing himself as a back-to-the-basket guy who also faces up and attacks as well. He runs the floor, finishes with soft touch, and has filled it up. Another big year for him as a productive player, and they will need that to make a playoff push.

Bishop is a versatile wing for Rampart who does a little bit of everything on the perimeter. He’s a smooth shooter who can knock down shots from deep, but he’s just as dangerous cutting to the basket and finishing in traffic. On both ends of the floor, Bishop brings energy and toughness, making life difficult for opponents with his defense. His ability to score from outside, attack off the cut and lock in defensively makes him a matchup nightmare. Expect him to swing the momentum with timely threes, crisp cuts and lockdown moments. Bishop’s combination of shooting, movement, and defensive intensity is why he’s one to watch and rising in the rankings

Bishop is a 6’6 standout who took the CSML by storm in his junior season. He’s also a 3-year varsity player for whom the game seems to come easily to. Bishop is a smooth, shoot-first wing who can space the floor with his outside shooting or go inside and battle with the bigs as well. He’s an excellent rebounder who uses his length, starts the break, and pushes the pace, and is a tough player to defend. We truly might be a bit low on him but with a solid showing with a close up look by us at the showcase, we may be able to right the ship. This is a favorable opportunity for him to rise.

Bishop’s efficient shooting off the catch continues to stretch out opposing defenses while going against Rampart, integral in rounding out their halfcourt offense. Putting up 16+ in three of his last four games, the wing has been working to contribute quick threes and fill open space in the halfcourt when given the opportunity. Still retaining good size at 200ish pounds, he holds up when tasked against bigger wings and forwards in this league.

Another intriguing name down in the Colorado Springs region, Bishop brings size and notable touch stretching the floor from behind the arc. Effective relocating from off-ball actions, he shows the ability to quickly relocate on perimeter attempts. Just as much a threat as a slasher, his positional size and soft touch around the rim has allowed Bishop to be a steady offensive contributor inside and out for Collective-Hilgencamp.

Bishop is a tall shotmaker who brings immense upside given his shotmaking versatility at roughly 6’5. Up at 45% behind the arc this past season, the wing is knocked down off the catch, bringing in confidence multiple feet behind the arc. While attacking closeouts, he can step into pull-up jumpers once an opening presents itself.
