Franchi first stands out due to his length and athleticism as he moves well and fluidly. He has a long and lean body and used it for easy finishes at the basket. He gave full on effort and was grabbing boards and protecting the paint. He’s very active and constantly moving, and he protected the paint as well. Offensively, his game shifted in each game. He was scoring with his back to the basket, he had a few hook shot finishes, and kept plays alive. Abner boxes it out instead of just telling on his athleticism, and that helped out tremendously on the boards. He had a very solid game against RTS Choice, where he was up against another talented big man with floaters and runners from the dunker spot and working the middle. He’s a player we want to see more of this summer, and as we transition into showcase season.
