A true three-level threat, Koenig was a certified problem for defenses, highlighted by a season-high 26-point performance in the state tournament. Koenig looks ready to play a huge role in Resurrection Christian’s offense, and there’s plenty to be excited about heading into the season. He can flat out score and when he gets in rhythm shots start falling from everywhere. His three point ability and deep range stretch defenses way out, opening up the floor for everyone else. Koenig also moves well without the ball and runs the floor hard, giving his team easy scoring opportunities in transition. When he spots up defenders have to stay glued to him, and when he pushes the pace, he becomes an instant threat. Through Resurrection Christian’s perfect 9-0 start to the season, Koenig has been excellent as a floor spacer and secondary playmaker for this group. Up at 38% from distance, he is comfortable rising up off the catch or while flowing into the shot following an off-ball action. At his best within the offensive flow, he is quick reading opposing defenses in both primary and secondary actions, dependable at reading the incoming rotations.
