Combo guard has great size in a strong looking frame.  Good outside shooter that hit couple of 3’s including a rare 4-point play.  Good change of speed on the drive that changed direction finding the way to the rim for the finish.  Nice speed in getting out on breaks filling the lanes for easy transition buckets.  Around the boards on offense battling for rebounds or loose balls.   A consistent player from what I saw that their high school coach may  know what you will get every time he touches the floor. 

Duke Dobbins Duke Dobbins 6'3" | SG/PG Tahlequah | 2029 State OK can shoot the peel off the ball. In every game I watched, he was deadly off the catch. Standing at 6’3, Dobbins is a bigger body but has no problem bringing the ball up and setting up the offense. Where he excels the most is off the ball. Duke spaces the floor well, filling gaps in the offense where needed. He was able to get to his spots when he wanted, favoring a  mid-range fadeaway like shot. 

Dobbins was productive all year long for the 5A Tigers. And he ended his freshman campaign on a high note when he helped key a Regionals upset win over Coweta. In that overtime victory, he produced a full stat line in with 13 points, 5 assists and 5 rebounds.

While a promising all around guard, perimeter shooting is his current calling card. Often catches it high and has a good release. As he continues to develop, it’s the type of form that should lead to a quick trigger release. Should pace as a 1,500 point scorer and possibly even a 2,000 point scorer. Especially if he continues to produce big games like his 25 point performance vs athletic McAlester.

A potential player to see early playing time for the Tigers. Dobbins has impressed in camp settings and as in 14U AAU play. Quality shooter with good size and overall feel for the game. If he hits the ground running, could combine with sophomore Jett Morrison Jett Morrison 5'10" | CG Tahlequah | 2028 State OK and junior Aydin Johnson to give Tahlequah a very promising backcourt for the future.

The eastern Oklahoma standout played big on both ends of the floor. Did the dirty work with putbacks around the rim. Even blocking and altering shots on the defensive end. Patient as a driver, using his strength to his advantage. Hit a nice step through school, where he used a defenders’ over aggressiveness to then finish at the rim.

A knockdown shooter who punished defenses the moment they lost track of him. Whether in spot-up situations or off the catch in rhythm, Dobbins was a perimeter sniper who made opponents pay for even the smallest defensive lapse.
