One of the most productive freshmen at the 6A level. He's a blast to watch because he has a quick first step, good agility and is a very creative finisher around the rim. With spin moves, mid air adjustments and more. Very impressive to see a smaller guard already finding ways to finish around the rim. What makes his scoring even more dangerous is he has a burner from deep. Already has the heart over height energy needed for smaller guards to thrive in a game giants.

A big body guard, who earned a starting spot for the Class 6A State Tournament qualifiers Wildcats. Often impressed with his feel on the defensive end. His long arms and timing allowed him to routinely force steals. And he even comes up with his fair share of on the ball blocks because of those traits. On the offensive end, he projects to mature into a bully ball style guard, who's strength and feel should easily dictate pace on drives. Was named COAC freshman of the year.

Quick and shifty, Shyne was a key part of the youth movement for Deer Creek. Is a handful for defenders to stay in front of. Once he beats his first defender, he has a great layup package around the rim. Along with good body control and moves to work in the mid-range. Has a good step back and showed signs of starting to really understand different levels of pace, making him even more dangerous when switching gears. As a creator, he can draw a crowd on point touches and find his open teammates.

Owens found his footing in the second semester and was a key part of a strong closing surge for the Dutch. He produced in some of the tougher and biggest games of the season for Holland Hall. Had 25 points vs McLain, 20 vs 6A Deer Creek and 23 in a rivalry victory over Lincoln Christian. Is a confident shooter from deep and a recent in person viewing he showed a big more speed and juice with the ball in his hands than expected. An area of improvement for this spring and summer, will be understanding shot selection in late game scenarios. As his confidence in his shot can lead him to pulling the trigger too eagerly.

Rogers was another freshman who earned notable early run at the Class 6A level. In this case, it's because he has early signs of having a burner from deep. Must be accounted for even a few steps beyond the three point line. This was especially true when he nuked Norman North for 24 points, including five three pointers. Including an open three that was nearly from the volleyball line. Right now it's often via spot up opportunities but has a good future as an all around scorer.

Dobbins was productive all year long for the 5A Tigers. And he ended his freshman campaign on a high note when he helped key a Regionals upset win over Coweta. In that overtime victory, he produced a full stat line in with 13 points, 5 assists and 5 rebounds.

While a promising all around guard, perimeter shooting is his current calling card. Often catches it high and has a good release. As he continues to develop, it's the type of form that should lead to a quick trigger release. Should pace as a 1,500 point scorer and possibly even a 2,000 point scorer. Especially if he continues to produce big games like his 25 point performance vs athletic McAlester.
