Expert Analysis

Chivers currently leads the Warriors in scoring to begin the season as his overall activity has been apparent when looking at the stat sheet for his team. Averaging over 12 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists per game, Chivers just flat out produces for his team. A stockier lead guard, Chivers isn’t afraid to try and play a bully ball style of play. I also am encouraged by Chivers getting over two steals per game, showing his natural instincts on the defensive end of the court. One of the more productive 2028 guards, Chivers continued impact against top competition earned him a spot in our rankings.

Huber Heights Wayne is always going to get after it on both ends of the court and they were extremely scrappy going against one of the most talented teams from Indiana for a majority of the game. Chivers is a stocky guard who has an impressive feel for the game at his age and was productive as a slasher and defender. Chivers turned defense to offense with a steal that turned into a breakaway layup and even took a charge as well. You won’t find many 2028 prospects in the Dayton area more productive at the high school level than Chivers.

One of the bigger guards in Ohio frame wise, Chivers is a very strong player who can body skinnier guards in the paint. Wanting to get downhill off the dribble and attack, Chivers doesn’t get pushed off his spots and can finish off one or two feet and earns a lot of trips to the foul line. After averaging 3.6 PPG as a freshman on varsity, look for Chivers to be one of the lead engines for the Wayne train next season.
