Donnie truly had one of the most dominant performances I have seen in the entire High School Basketball Season. In his 35-point 16-rebound game against La Lumiere, he did everything you could ask for from a big man: control the glass, finish through contact, score off the dribble, hit a jump shot, switch onto guards, and protect the rim. The future Syracuse Orange put up a 24-point 10-rebound double-double in the second half alone with 7 of his 16 total rebounds coming on the offensive glass. La Lu truly had no answer for his persistence in the paint and Freeman was the key to a comfortable IMG win.

He’s agile on both ends of the fort and moves like a wing when coming off screens. He’s a valuable shot maker from the midrange and three point line. Freeman is a god off movement shooter who can use four screens and pin downs to get open looks. He’s flashed an off the dribble game as a slasher and acts a vertical threat when rolling to the rim. Has a great frame but is a bit slim for the position. Solid room protector and rebounder. He plays with an edge, especially when matching up against other highly regarded bigs.

The Syracuse signee was sensational in the win over Richmond Heights (Ohio) this morning finishing just short of a double-double with 17 points and nine rebounds. Freeman showed the complete package with his size, length and athleticism. On the defensive end, Freeman did a good job guarding positions 1 through 4 forcing the opposing guards into taking tough shots.

On the defensive side, Freeman plays with a ton of versatility where he can guard multiple positions and uses a ton of length where he can defend either the perimeter or on the interior.
