In the last home game of his high school career, Gamble came out with an immediate spark, pouring in 17 first-half points on his way to a game-high 25 overall. A long and wiry guard, he was impossible to keep away from the rim with an effective blend of quickness and herky-jerky footwork. Gamble was effective both finishing inside over length and drawing contact en route to 14 free throw attempts. Sharing lead guard responsibilities, he was also an effective setup man within Haverford’s well-oiled offensive system. He could stand to improve as a perimeter shooter but the unsigned senior is peaking at the right time, playing the best basketball of his career, and could prove to be a late steal at the scholarship level if he continues on this current trajectory.

Among the most improved players in the league, Gamble pieced together all the flashes he’s shown in years past to play consistent high-level basketball for the 10-0 league champs. Sharing ballhandling duties with presumptive league MVP Silas Graham Silas Graham 6'4" | CG The Haverford School | 2027 State #185 Nation PA , Gamble controlled the point of attack on both ends of the floor with his length and quickness. He uses a slick handle and quick first step to get north-south and generate paint touches while also having developed into a reliable shooter from deep with his feet set. His length and slitheriness make him a bothersome defender for opposing ballhandlers as well. Gamble tracks as a priority in the high-academic D3 realm but has inched closer and closer to scholarship-level with his play this season.

Jumping over 120 spots to sit comfortably in the top 100 of the updated rankings, Gamble has stepped up as a consistent threat on the perimeter for a Haverford team that figures to be in the thick of the Inter-Ac title race to the very end. Having shown flashes over the years, Gamble has seen a notable uptick in his consistency along with a spike in opportunity with a move into the regular starting lineup. He stands out with his size and length at the point of attack, using a slick handle and quick first step to get north-south and put pressure on the rim. Gamble is playing his best basketball at the right time and with continued development as a shooter could wind up looking like a steal at the small-college level.

Gamble has a nice ability to find ways to live in the painted areas of the floor and convert timely scoring chances. He had a 20 point scoring outing in Governors Challenge. He has a good shot selection and lets the game come to him organically. I like how he doesn’t get sped up and took whatever the defense gave him throughout the game. He only shot one three which he converted but I would like to see him be more aggressive from out there. I like how he was able to get different teammates the ball for them to convert scoring looks.

Dillon Gamble Dillon Gamble 6'1" | CG The Haverford School | 2026 State PA had a weekend to remember at the Governors Challenge this season. He and the Fords came out firing in their first matchup, easily winning after gaining composure. Dillon remained a constant contributor to the team through each run during the game. Remained calm and seeked out some critical baskets at the rim with efficiency in both his games. Really liked the way he kept his head on a swivel and found his teammates when they had space to make a play. Generated a lot of offense for the team and was the catalyst behind many runs. Almost led the team to a bracket championship at the Gov in a highly-contested controversial finish.

Haverford figures to be in the thick of contention for an Inter-Ac title this year and Gamble’s emergence in the backcourt is a big reason why. A lengthy two-way playmaker, Gamble has slowly worked his way up the Fords’ rotation to finally solidify a place as the starting point guard. He brings standout size and length to the backcourt with a quick first step and herky-jerky footwork while making plays in the lane. His length and quickness make him a formidable deterrent as a defender at the point of attack as well. Gamble should be a priority for small colleges ahead of his final season with the chance to emerge into a scholarship-level option by the spring with continued progress over the course of his senior year.

Haverford School lost several key players to graduation, so Gamble will be expected to increase his production in 2025-26. From what I have seen over the last three-months, Gamble is ready for that promotion. On the 3Stripes circuit Gamble has proved to be an athletic “3 & D” wing prospect. In addition to his accurate long-range shooting, Gamble can make plays off the dribble, crash the glass for put backs and hit mid-range shots. The trifecta of Gamble’s speed, agility and finishing skills allow him to excel in the open court. Gamble is an underrated rebounder too.  

Gamble is an intriguing “3 & D” wing prospect who recently posted 17 points (4 threes) against Perkiomen School. On Friday against SCHA, he splashed one triple on his way to 9 points. In addition to his accurate long-range shooting, Gamble was a tenacious offensive rebounder who then converted through contact. He also used his speed to run the floor for a couple fast break buckets.
