Expert Analysis
Eric Wallace | Prep Hoops Scout
Maybe the team’s top overall college prospect, Clayton starred for the Nightrydas 15u EYBL team this spring averaging 17.1 points and 6 rebounds per game. He is a high level athlete with size and strength. The Memphis native can score at all three levels and has a good feel for the game for a young prospect. He has the physical characteristics to be a high level defender and is a prospect with plenty of upside.

Clayton’s national stock continues to climb. Ranked among ESPN’s top small forwards in the country for his class, he backed up the recognition with a strong showing during Nike EYBL Session II in Memphis. The athletic wing attacks the basket aggressively, thrives in transition, and consistently puts pressure on defenses. His scoring ability jumps out, but the long-term upside comes from his physical tools and continued development as a complete player.

Clayton is one of the state’s top wings in the 2029 class and got off to a strong start to his EYBL season in Atlanta. A very athletic wing with good size, he plays aggressively on the offensive end and consistently puts pressure on the defense. He is a capable open shot maker with improving shooting consistency, and he does a good job of drawing contact and getting to the free throw line. While his decision-making is still developing, his tools and production point to significant long-term potential.
