Possibly the nation’s top prospect in the 2029 class, Brooks turned in two impressive performances over the weekend as SLAM finished 1–1. The left-handed wing is a high-level scorer with excellent positional size, above-average athleticism, and a strong feel for the game. The freshman poured in 29 points in an overtime win over Windermere High, consistently putting pressure on the defense and knocking down 14 free throws. Brooks scores efficiently at all three levels, can create shots off the bounce, and shows toughness and aggression when attacking the rim.

Brooks looked like one of the best freshmen in the country. The 6’3 combo guard broke defenders down with ease and had no problem pulling up in their face. Brooks paired his skill with sneaky athleticism, allowing him to play above the rim and finish through contact. His confidence and scoring ability stood out against older competition.

It’s very rare to see rising freshman make an impact like Brooks did as he finished with 23 points, 5 assists and 5 steals. The lefty guard did a nice job getting downhill and scoring at the rim. His defense also allowed Nightrydas to play in transition off his steals, which is where they are most dangerous. Looking like a name who will appear on national lists when the time comes, Brooks was extremely impressive on Tuesday morning.

Brooks is electric! The kid can fly up and down the floor and he is one of the best young up and coming attacking guards in the country. Brooks downhill is a problem and he is young but he attacks with no fear. HM talent for sure. Kind of reminds you of teh way Russell Westbrook use to attack when he was younger. He was playing up a grade but was one of the best on the floor by far.
