Desean Clayton and the Top Small Forwards in 2029

Called a flyover these generally elicit a 'Wow' from the throngs of people. A sprinkling of these 2029's will do the same for years to come. Check them out.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2959343' first='Junub' last='Duor'] </strong>(#1 overall) springs and bounds higher than most. College coaches love what he might become, and they see the 6-foot-6 wing's potential. Multiple D1 coaches evaluated him in-person just this month at McCallie School.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='3532891' first='Desean' last='Clayton'] </strong>announced on Instagram that he is back home. Memphis-area fans are certain to share some oo's and ah's in his presence. Clayton can really, really go. Just a sophomore. During his one varsity season in Florida at Westminster Academy "Sean" earned 2nd Team All-County (Broward) and 3rd Team All-State. His family sees him as a point guard and maybe. This season he will be a wing for Collierville Head Coach Erik Buggs. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2767787' first='Kaleb' last='Taylor']</strong>, former #1 in the class, is fighting through injury recovery. It will be a while before he is back to 100% and yet the height and game are noteworthy. Taylor saw the floor very, very briefly for Bartlett in the 4A State Tournament in March. His role was going to grow a ton possibly into a starter before he sustained the injury.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Needs Scout</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Watch List gets a bad rap, but at least for Prep Hoops Tennessee we use the Watch List like a hospital's waiting room. I know that the guys on Watch List can play, but neither Courtney Smith nor I have seen them play, so we do not want to rank them until we have a read. A couple of the guys on the SF Watch List above will get added to rankings very soon.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Saturday I will get to see <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='3565993' first='Caymen' last='Nevels']</strong> in-person for the first time. The 6-foot-4 wing registered for the expo at Lebanon High Saturday. Former breakouts from the event include [player_tooltip player_id='2194623' first='Miles' last='Alexander'], [player_tooltip player_id='2194603' first='Jordan' last='Hearing'], [player_tooltip player_id='2610390' first='Carter' last='Cox'], and Tacarien Freeman. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2786734' first='Bryce' last='Lane'] </strong>was a PrepHoopsTN Combine in June but was unable to attend. Lane is one of the few Pope John Paul II guys in desperate need of eyeballs.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='3586980' first='Dearion' last='Johnson']</strong> (Notre Dame) is another Watch List guy with an evaluation on the horizon. New Notre Dame Head Coach Reggie Tucker says, "[DJ] will play a huge role for us this season."
