King Jr. is in my opinion a very underrated prospect. He’s an ace when it comes to handling in and dribbling through pressure. King can attack the rim and create for himself and teammates off the bounce.

Thank you Derrick King Jr. Derrick King Jr. Derrick King Jr. 6'0" | PG Grand Rapids Ottawa Hills | 2024 State MI for making me look smart. I’ve been saying for a couple years now that this young man can compete with the best lead guards in the state. Well, he had that look at the GRBA championships over the weekend. King Jr. is terrific as a primary ball handler and has the ability to be a dynamic scorer. He showed this weekend that he can really play well with a talented post player.

King Jr. is far too underrated far too often in my opinion. I’ve seen him go toe to toe with some of the best lead guards in the state. The young man can bring it at an elite level. His Ottawa Hills team is a program on the rise and King is a big part of that. He can push the pace, penetrate and dish yo shooters.

I’ve been very high on this young man’s game for a while now. He can match up with some of the greats in the state. King Jr. can play at a fast pace and can find his teammates in the open floor. He’s an underrated defender that can pressure the ball and either force errors or rush the offense.
