About Davis

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a skilled shooter with strong playmaking ability and a high basketball IQ. I see the floor well, make smart decisions, and create scoring opportunities for myself and my teammates. I can guard multiple positions. Play significant role at 1-3 positions on state tournament varsity team as a sophomore now and freshman last year.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m a very competitive player who will do whatever it takes to help my team win. Whether it’s making the right play, finding the open teammate, or defending the other team’s best player, I always give my best effort. I take pride in being coachable and doing whatever my coach asks on both ends of the floor, and I’m always looking for ways to improve as a player.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I volunteer with the Special Olympics Area 3 Virginia basketball and golf programs, helping athletes develop their skills and confidence. I’m also involved in Young Life, a faith-based organization that emphasizes leadership, character, and service to others.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve developed leadership, teamwork, and communication skills through basketball, always trying to make the right play and help my teammates be their best. Off the court, volunteering with Special Olympics and participating in Young Life have strengthened my character, empathy, and commitment to serving others.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I had an injury that sidelined me for several weeks, but I stayed committed by attending every practice to support my team, to following physical therapy advice and to new stretching routines. Now, I practice yoga daily to improve flexibility and prevent future injuries. The experience taught me patience, dedication, and how to better take care of my body to perform at my best.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college where I can continue to grow as a player, contribute to a competitive basketball program, and pursue an academic and social experience that’s a good fit for both me and my family.
