I watched Showman play earlier this Spring and the 6’4 wing from Wheaton Warrenville South continued to impress before the 4^th of July weekend. He presents true size and length to fill a 2 or 3 man’s role at the next level. His hands and feet are ready for catch and shoot opportunities where he reeled off 4 3’s in the late morning game on Friday at a high clip. On the perimeter he is comfortable coming off screens to get set and maintain a smooth and repeatable release. He will continue to be an established reliable perimeter threat that will punish defenses for leaving any space.

Showman reeled off multiple buckets in a row during late morning game on Sunday. Fits into the definition of a shooting guard filling a wing spot role at the next level. Quickly slashed through lane for soft touch finishes or converted on the break at a quick rate. Grabbed a tough offensive rebound and then put it back up for a bucket. Showed good demeanor on the perimeter for catch and shoot opportunities as well.

Like his teammate Joey Kramer, Showman provided key contributions on both ends against Team Rose 17U. Knocked down perimeter shots, including clean catch-and-shoot threes, and showed confidence in his distance jumper throughout. Defensively, he stayed active with a well-timed strip and a block at the rim. Comfortable operating as a perimeter spot-up option, he didn’t let missed looks affect his aggressiveness or approach.

Showman turned in one of the best individual performances of the entire weekend at the Chi-Town Tip Off pouring in 35 points in a 66-41 win over Chicago Hoops . The 6’2″ guard was on fire from beyond the arc, but also used his positional size to finish around the basket at the end of his drives.
