<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The 4th of July weekend played host to a stop on the Prep Hoops Circuit. The Tune Up Illinois edition occurred over a two day event on Thursday and Friday across the Chicago land area. Plenty of solid teams and top ranked players started their last month of travel ball off on the right foot. In this article we will analyze some highly skilled shooting guards who impacted for their teams.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["2347956"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-6a4ded22c75bb"} --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">Lee impressed in his team's evening game on Thursday during a fast paced up tempo contest. He showed a poised and solid handle on dribble drive action slashing to the cup consistently through traffic. Jab steps, pump fakes, and rip throughs were all fair game to gain separation and then hit lane lines fast. His strong and quick lower frame allows him to provide athletic fluidity with the ball in multiple phases. The main component that impacted the game on the offensive side of the ball was his shooting ability. I tallied him for 4 3's while converting on those at a high percentage. He hands and feet are ready for trigger on catch and shoot opportunities while he is comfortable getting into his shot off the dribble as well. A 1 or 2 man that who should continue to provide valuable assets the next 2 years.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["2255121"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-6a4ded22c7669"} --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">I watched Showman play earlier this Spring and the 6'4 wing from Wheaton Warrenville South continued to impress before the 4th of July weekend. He presents true size and length to fill a 2 or 3 man's role at the next level. His hands and feet are ready for catch and shoot opportunities where he reeled off 4 3's in the late morning game on Friday at a high clip. On the perimeter he is comfortable coming off screens to get set and maintain a smooth and repeatable release. He will continue to be an established reliable perimeter threat that will punish defenses for leaving any space.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["2349619"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-6a4ded22c76f1"} --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">A confident shooter from beyond the arc that got it going in a hurry in team's early morning Saturday matchup. Brady came off the bench as 6th man and I tallied him for hitting a handful of 3's in a few different ways. Knocked tiples down off of catch and shoot opportunities, walked into his shot from beyond the arc if nobody wanted to contest, and hitting them off quick dribbles after creating separation. He also provided a crafty spin move to create space and then finish at the rack. Harris may be undersized as a 2 man at the next level but if you can shoot the rock you can shoot it regardless of height and he can certainly do so at a high clip. His instant offensive fire power will continue to make him a dangerous perimeter threat through his senior campaign.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["3415797"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-6a4ded22c77f2"} --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">The last time I saw Wyett compete was this past scholastic season in December. The lengthy wing has tangibles that fit him well in a 2 or 3 man's role. In Thursday afternoon's matchup he showcased mobility and wingspan to impact the game on both ends. He secured multiple defensive rebounds and then went coast to coast for a finish once while drawing a foul on another possession. He can also be deemed as a spacing threat beyond the perimeter with shooting ability. His combination of size and skill provides an intriguing long term upside.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["2415541"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-6a4ded22c787a"} --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">The 6 foot combo guard out of DGN got it done the second weekend in a row. I caught O'Reilly's game a few days ago with his scholastic team and he went off for 3's at an efficient clip while also providing a solid 2 way presence. This weekend with his H4H squad he provided more of the same skills. In the middle afternoon game on Thursday there was a sequence he knocked down back to back treys to alter the momentum of the game. On the defensive side of things, he showed his lateral foot movement and ability to stay in front of a ball handler to disrupt offensive rhythm for continuous seconds at a time. His point of attack defense along with his shooting skills will continue to provide valuable two-way contribution and ones that should allow him to gain traction from college coaches. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["2393484"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":["override_image"],"_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_player_featured_image":3689924,"_player_evaluations_0_player_featured_image":"field_62f141137ead9","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-6a4ded22c7923"} --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">I caught Gaspar's team play in the team's first game of the weekend on Thursday. He provided value from beyond the arc knocking down a couple three's off of drive and kick reads. His hands and feet are ready on the catch for a quick trigger release. Offensively in the ½ court setting he was also able to get into the lane at a solid rate and show touch over size with a floater and a runner. When he collapsed the defense off of penetration that opened up guys beneath which he found right away for a couple drop off assists as well. An undersized but impactful guard that will continue to be effective and help provide winning plays.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
