One of the more physically dominant centers, Stratford has had a big body since his freshman year at STVM. Going through development over the years, Stratford waited his turn to become a starter and a key contributor and made improvements every year under the great coaching staff the Irish boast. Stratford has the body to be ready to play from day one and will not back down physically from older competition. I’m surprised Stratford hasn’t attracted more recruiting interest to this point from college programs.

Stratford looks much different than AAU season as he has slimmed down quite a bit. Looking a little quicker and more confident with the ball outside the paint, Stratford has made a case for one of the best low post prospects available in the state. If SVSM can continue to win games, more coaches/scouts will be checking out the 6’8 big man,

STVM had another marquee victory as the Irish have beaten some powerhouse programs so far this season. I could’ve picked a few different players from their team but decided to go with Stratford as he punished an undersized Toledo Central Catholic frontcourt. Stratford finished well with his left hand around the basket and rebounded well as well. The Irish have a huge challenge coming up this Saturday as Sierra Canyon (CA) comes to Columbus to battle with the Irish, Stratford and his teammates will need to be at the top of their game to hang with one of the top teams in the country.
