DaMari Sawall - 2029 Point Guard Prospect DaMari Sawall is an all-around point guard known for his dynamic ability to DaMari Sawall is a high-IQ, all-around point guard with elite court vision and a natural feel for the game. He thrives at creating scoring opportunities—both for himself and others—with strong handles, quick bursts off the dribble, and sharp decision-making. A true floor general,

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

DaMari is a focused and passionate competitor with a strong work ethic and a relentless drive to improve. He approaches every practice and game with intensity and discipline. Known for being coachable and team-first, DaMari leads with maturity beyond his age and holds himself accountable on and off the court.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I’ve participated in youth leadership and mentoring programs through my school and community. I’ve also volunteered at basketball camps for younger athletes and been recognized for academic improvement and commitment to character. Off the court, I stay involved with family and team support activities that build leadership and accountability.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve built strong leadership and communication skills as a point guard, staying vocal, uplifting teammates, and leading by example. Playing for multiple teams taught me adaptability, discipline, and the value of being coachable.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I’ve played through injuries, fatigue, and tough games where we were short-handed. These moments taught me how to push through adversity and lead by example, even when things aren’t perfect.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a program that values player development, strong academics, and a team-first culture—where I can grow on and off the court.

Damari Sawall Damari Sawall Damari Sawall 6'2" | PG/CG Mater Academy East | 2029 State NV was very active on both ends of the court for the Knights last night. On offense, he was scoring from just about everywhere and had some really great takes to the rack in the second half. Which helped put the game out of reach. On defense, he utilized his instincts and timing to swat 3 shots. And he also collected at least one steal. Overall, his efforts paid dividends and the freshman guard will now be put to test against Durango.
