Mellican caught my eye at the PH Circuit’s The Last Dance. He proved repeatedly that he was willing to put in the work early in a possession to establish position. This earned him some high percentage looks at the rim. Mellican was also able to simply outhustle the defense and beat them down the floor to his spots.

Cooper took over in the second half of a hard fought win over Minnesota Select on Friday night. The 2026 wing has a strong 6’3” frame and used it to attack the basket at full speed, being able to absorb contact for super difficult finishes through traffic. He can convert on tough layups with either hand and was creating opportunities for himself with or without the ball. Mellican had some great back cuts to the basket and could attack using the dribble in the half court as well.
