Collin McCollaugh Collin McCollaugh 6'5" | PF Dubuque | 2029 State IA showcased his enticing tools and contagious energy throughout this event. Collin was one of the most active and impactful defenders that I saw play at the Expo. His rim protection and deterrence were a huge predicament for all opposing scorers that tried to go at him, as his ability to explode off of the ground and send shots packing was very evident. Collin was great at keeping his hands up and using his length to force many tough shots, and his discipline as a defender very much stood out. Rarely would he jump at fakes, and even when he did, he had no issue getting back up on a second jump and swatting away potential buckets. His engagement as an off-ball defender really aided his production on this end. He was always in help position, communicating, and rotating, keeping opponents out of the paint and helping his teammates. This engagement and energy was also felt on the perimeter too. He was just as impactful sliding his feet on the outside, being physical, and forcing scorers to settle for tough shots as he allowed minimal penetration. His ability to spring off the floor combined with his competitiveness also made him a beast on the glass. He brought down heaps of rebounds and converted on second-chance points. Offensively, I loved his feel, touch, screening ability, and ball-handling capabilities. These skills packaged together made him very versatile and complementary to his team and helped them win with him as the anchor on both sides of the ball.

McCollaugh appeared in all 24 games off the bench for the Rams as a freshman, averaging 1.9 points and 2.8 rebounds on 52.6% shooting. He’ll need to work on adding some range to his arsenal as well as improving from the charity stripe, but he has some real potential with his toughness and touch around the rim. On the defensive end he’s a high IQ defender who can hold his ground and protect the paint as a help defender who sees the floor well.

A pesky defender that made things difficult on his matchup in the post, Collin McCollaugh Collin McCollaugh 6'5" | PF Dubuque | 2029 State IA was a physical defender with active hands. A tad slight of frame, McCollaugh will need to add weight to continue to get offensive players off their spots near the bucket, but he’s got the length and the mindset to do it now. Also an efficient scorer near the rim, he used the glass well within five feet of the bucket.

The big for his team, McCollaugh already stands at 6’5″ as a freshman and made his impact on and around the boards. A bit shorter than the 6’7″ Liam Noll Liam Noll 6'9" | SF Sioux City East | 2029 State IA , McCollaugh was physical and made things difficult on the tallest player at the circuit with active hands defensively. He also consistently finished within five feet of the rim on offense, whether it was with a floater or banking it in off the glass.
