Christian Covarrubia Christian Covarrubia 6'1" | SG/PG Mayfield | 2027 State NM was one of the top shooters on display this past weekend. He proved to be a reliable catch-and-shoot threat, forcing defenses to constantly be aware of his location on the floor. Christian appeared especially comfortable shooting from the right side, where he consistently knocked down perimeter shots with confidence.

In one game, he caught fire early, going 4-for-5 from beyond the arc in the first half. Once he found his rhythm, he was constantly moving without the ball and staying ready to score whenever the opportunity presented itself. His accuracy, quick release, and ability to get his shot off efficiently made him a difficult cover for opposing defenders.

Beyond his scoring ability, Christian showed that he is an unselfish teammate and a willing passer. He understands the value of turning a good shot into a great shot and consistently looks to make the extra pass when a teammate is in a better scoring position. His combination of shooting, off-ball movement, and decision-making makes him a valuable offensive weapon.
