Quick guard with a strong body and good athleticism. Hustles and is a gifted shot blocker. Accounted for four blocks in the first half alone. Has an explosive first step he uses to drive the lane and scores very well through contact. Attacks the paint with confidence getting to his spots easily. Skilled with the ball and passes it well with good strength and precision. Has a very good overall game. The reigning 1A South Defensive Player of the year looked every bit of the part in this game. A key player to help get Gregory back to the 1A state title game.

Butler plays smart and moves around the floor effectively and with purpose. Showed off a high percentage three point shot. Has a smooth and quick release. Sees the floor well making strong passes that get to their target. Butler has a strong dribble and good skill to get to his spots. Sprints and plays great in transition. Plays hard and continues to show hes a rising prospect in the 2028 class. Butler is fun to watch as he plays every possession with high intensity.

Butler was very under the radar until his showing this weekend. A strong guard who can handle the physical part of the game. Strong rebounding ability and scores second chance opportunities well. A strong defender and communicates well vocally. Butler has the assets to develop into a good 2028 prospect. He will look to help get Gregory back to the state championship game and based on his performance this weekend will be a key piece on that journey. Definitely a player I plan on keeping a close eye on this upcoming season.
