Expert Analysis
Corey Clair | Prep Hoops Scout
In a high-leverage, top-10 grassroots battle at the Tulsa Live Period, Briggs proved he belongs on the national radar. Surrounded by elite length and athleticism on the floor, he didn’t just blend in—he anchored his team’s offense when the game slowed down. Channing showed off a highly repeatable, fluid release from beyond the arc. Knocked down a team-high three triples, displaying excellent relocation habits off the ball and a quick trigger off the catch. Teams cannot leave him airspace on the perimeter.
This Stock-Riser cemented his status as a premier backcourt prospect in Louisiana’s 2029 class.

played well beyond his classification by adding 16 points to the Catholic BR box score. I remember him from the LHSAA playoffs, and he is not in the same uniform, but the game is the same. Briggs can score the ball. He has a smooth game, and scoring just comes naturally. He surveys the floor and is always just in the right spot, and makes the right decisions. 16 as a freshman is no small feat at the 5A level, and this could be the start of something special. Briggs is another piece to the Catholic BR puzzle that could shock those who say they lost too much to compete this season.

Channing is a smooth operator with a silky left hand that keeps defenders on edge. He attacks the rim aggressively, finishing through contact with strength and control. His ability to step out and knock down the three makes him a versatile scoring threat. Channing’s blend of finesse and toughness sets him apart on the floor.
